Probate
Our office can assist you as your Idaho probate attorney. Once a beloved family member has passed in Idaho, their estate must generally go through the probate process in order to properly administer the estate. The probate of an estate usually involves identifying the estate’s assets, paying any debts owed by the decedent at the time of death, and distributing the remaining assets as directed by a will or if a will does not exist as directed by Idaho statute. The administration of the estate may also involve the valuation of the estate’s assets, paying any taxes owed as a result of the death, pursing claims against third parties, and determining the identity of heirs if the decedent died without leaving a will. The process of administering the estate of a decedent can become very complicated. This office is familiar with Idaho probate laws and has assisted many personal representatives during the probate process. If you need assistance during this difficult time, please contact our office to discuss your options.
